Métis culture and identity is important to Caslan's students and our community. Currently all of our students hail from the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement. The hope of Caslan's staff is to produce pride amongst the students to celebrate their Métis identity through many of the school's programs such Métis dance, various arts projects, small groups and cultural spins on the curriculum.

Student dancers have performed before audiences large and small in both the neighbouring community and in distant places such as British Columbia.
